Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the establishment of a ‘Vaidehi Art Gallery’ in Shri Ayodhya Dham, dedicated to portraying the life and divine character of Mata Sita. The gallery will use modern technology to present Sita Mata’s values of sacrifice, dignity, compassion, patience, and inner strength as a vivid, immersive experience for visitors.
The Chief Minister issued these instructions during a meeting of the Housing and Urban Planning Department on Wednesday. He said that Sita Mata represents the highest ideals of Indian culture, moral conduct, and ethical values, and that it is essential for the younger generation to gain a deeper understanding of her inspiring life and character.

Elaborating on the concept, Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the Vaidehi Art Gallery should not be a conventional art museum. Instead, it should function as a living cultural space that reinterprets the life journey of Sita Mata through contemporary visual language, art forms, and advanced technology. The gallery, he said, must enable visitors not just to view exhibits, but to truly experience, understand, and internalize the timeless messages embodied in Sita Mata’s life.
The Chief Minister instructed that every aspect of the gallery—its narrative structure, architectural design, visual aesthetics, artistic expression, and technological integration—should reflect the spirit of revisiting a divine heritage. This heritage, he said, must be presented as a source of inspiration for present and future generations.

Interacting with officials of the Ayodhya Development Authority, Yogi Adityanath suggested that the project could be developed in the Vashishtha Bhavan premises, located near the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, an area that witnesses the arrival of lakhs of devotees every day. He noted that the gallery would become an important cultural landmark for pilgrims and tourists alike.
The Chief Minister further stated that the development of the Vaidehi Art Gallery would be a significant step in strengthening Ayodhya’s identity as a global cultural city. He gave special instructions to prominently showcase the rich traditions, folk culture, and artistic heritage of Mithila, closely associated with Mata Sita, within the gallery.
The proposed project is expected to blend faith, culture, art, and technology, reinforcing Ayodhya’s growing role as a centre of spiritual and cultural tourism on the global stage.
